A Governance Snap Poll conducted in the last week of September just before the country's 53rd independence by a polling group, NOIPolls Limited, has shown a drop in President Goodluck Jonathan's approval ratings by Nigerians.
According to the latest monthly governance poll result for September released by NOIPolls and made available to THISDAY, 49 percent of Nigerians approved of the President's job performance whereas majority (50 percent) appeared to be of the opinion that the present administration performed just averagely.
The same polling outfit had in its August edition given President Jonathan dignifying rating of 57 percent based on the assessment of Nigerians despite the internal wrangling that engulfed his party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
However, NOIPolls rating figure represented a significant 8-point decrease in the President’s approval rating from August (57 percent) to September (49 percent).
